Our facility is owned and operated by successful recovering addicts who are committed to a single and compelling philosophy:  Sober living is a lifelong process.

For each of us, the process began the moment we committed to healing. Process offers direction and self-motivation. It creates a model by which to live and a map to follow when uncertainty and destructive urges begin to surface.

• A personalized strategy that you can live with
Because resources in the sober living community are as vast as they varied, determining the right course of action can be stressful and overwhelming.

We realize that your long-term success will depend largely upon the strategies and systems that are created and implemented early in the recovery process. For this reason, our course of action begins the moment a client leaves a treatment center and transitions into our sober living facility.

Cases are reviewed on an individual basis. With your permission, we will work with you, your primary care physician and counselors to map out a workable program that will help you to ease into our community.

• Healthy, engaging activities
We have found engaging mind, body and spirit in healthy activities to be highly effective in maintaining a positive and sober attitude. A wide range of activities, both indoors and out, are within easy reach of our home. A menu is available, and our staff will gladly make arrangements and daily / weekly schedules as you desire.

• A Tranquil and Serene Setting
We chose our location because of its many healing and healthy qualities. Wide, unobstructed ocean vistas, the sound of the waves and texture of the air form a haven that is tranquil, serene and constant.

And because Malibu and its adjacent cities are host to a lively and influential sober living community, support and treatment are within easy reach of our Villa.

• Structure
While it is true that re-discovering a sober and healthy path is a very individual and private process, we also have learned that structure is critical to maintaining an effective, peaceful and safe sober-living facility. Our residents are expected to work a Twelve-Step Program, attend meetings, respect the privacy and personal space of fellow residents and follow house rules which are adapted from those set forth by the Sober-Living Coalition. Onsite drug testing is mandatory, as are check-in procedures.  Clients who for whatever cannot submit to drug-testing or follow house rules are dismissed from the premises.
